Don't panic, we are not switching to selling gardening products.
We recently acquired this lovely miniature fig tree, which is growing slowly but surely. It's not bearing fruits but it gives us an excuse to keep you updated about the project.
Big decision for us : from now on, we will be commissioning artists to create new artworks for our gallery.
Therefore, we are now selecting artists based on their personal style, rather than focusing on specific existing artworks. This commissioning process will thus always have an element of surprise, when we discover the final artwork, and actually we think it's really exciting.
Several reasons made us choose this route :
- As a customer, you will be sure to buy a new artwork
- It will be totally exclusive to our gallery and sold nowhere else
- All sizes will be homogeneous and thus easier to frame
Another important decision : we plan to release our editions under the form of successive collections, each one associated with a theme of our choosing. The first theme will be announced at a later date.
As far as I'm concerned, I like the fact that each artwork will belong to a whole, giving it more meaning. Hopefully, it will also provide more insight into the artist's creative work.
If everything goes as planned, we should be opening right after the summer. Fingers crossed!
